Good to know

UAE is safe country to travel. Criminality in city is low, road safety is great - just pay attention, some drivers tend to drive fast (mostly at night). Orientation in cities might be difficult - new roads are being opened almost constantly and during winter months, the country is often covered in fog during morning, evenings and nights.

When to go?

We recommend visiting UAE between November and March, during this period, the weather is warm during the day and little bit cooler during night (especially from December to February) and there are frequent fogs that usually dissapear in late morning. Keep in mind that during summer, temperature is often above 40°C and usually does not go bellow 30°C even at night. This could be exhausting, especially during the month of Ramadan.

Price level

Price level in United Arab Emirates varies significantly, depending on preferences. You can get a decent accommodation in the city center for around 180 AED / night, hotels close to the beach tend to be little bit more expensive. The prices also depend on the season and are much higher during holidays.

You can find many cheap (mostly indian restaurants), where you can get lunch for less than 30 AED, on the other hand most of the restaurants in the city center are far more expansive.

Getting around is fast and convenient with great, cheap and clean public transport. Longer distance can be covered by buses, taxis, or you can get a boat or helicopter charter.
